Una canción que a pesar de los años de su edición nos sigue dando una lección de Humanidad y Solidaridad.

We are the World fue escrita por Michael Jackson y Lionel Richie en 1985 para una ocasión que de denominó “United Support of Artists for Africa”. Los beneficios obtenidos por la canción fueron donados a una campaña humanitaria para intentar acabar con la tremenda hambruna en Etiopía. Se vendieron 800.000 copías de la primera edición en tan sólo 4 días. Los beneficios conjuntos del sencillo, el álbum, el videoclip y merchandising superaron la cifra de 50 millones de dólares. Esta canción nos recuerda que no se puede esperar a que alguien, en algún lugar, realice un cambio. Cuando estás decaído, y afuera parece no haber ninguna esperanza, hay que pensar en realizar un cambio todos juntos como uno.
